Duel in Color Lines 98 Online

Coming soon. The Duel mode is still in development, so there is no working button yet. Here we explain how this feature will work and why it will make competition even more exciting.

Duel is a future Color Lines 98 Online mode where you will be able to challenge another player on a game they have already played.

You will receive the same starting board and the same sequence of balls that your opponent had, and your task will be to play better and beat their result.

How It Will Work

Your opponent’s game is saved in full — just like in the game replay mode. When you accept the challenge, Color Lines 98 Online starts the exact same game for you: the same starting board, the same order of ball appearances, and equal conditions from the first move.

A “ghost” of your opponent will be displayed over your game. You will be able to see how they played move by move, where they gained an advantage, and at what moment you pull ahead.

A Fair Challenge

In Duel, there is no advantage from a lucky deal. Both players play through the same game, which means the result depends on strategy, calculation, and the ability to control the board.

Because both games are saved as full recordings, the server will be able to resimulate the game and verify the results. Winning a duel will mean that you truly played better on the same board.

While Duel Is Being Prepared

The Duel mode will appear later. For now, try the Daily Board: players are already competing on one shared game there, and the results can be replayed and compared in the Color Lines 98 Online leaderboards.
